The story so far.
The Daily Mahj started with a card table, a set of secondhand tiles, and a rulebook that made no sense on the first read.
We built the guides we wished we’d had — plain-English explanations of the Charleston, the NMJL card, and why the joker matters so much. Along the way we started buying tile sets, mats, and racks to see which ones actually held up, and which discount codes actually worked.
That’s the whole site, really: guides for people just starting out, honest reviews for people upgrading their table, and a discount page we check by hand — not because a script told us a code was valid, but because we tried it ourselves.
What we believe
Mahjong is better with good tiles and good company. We’re not here to sell you on a hobby — we’re here to make the learning curve shorter and your shopping decisions easier.
Who writes this
The Daily Mahj is written and maintained by a small team who plays regularly and treats the game — and the table it’s played on — with more care than it probably needs. If you have a question, a correction, or a code that stopped working, get in touch — we read everything.
